Stress – free English … across the Curriculum
English across the Curriculum is the name of a new trial sheme in
Lower Austrian schools. The aim of the sheme is to get the children used
to hearing, and eventually speaking English in each and every
situation. This means that the native speaker accompanies the children
through their school day, popping up in subjects ranging from history,
geography and biology to physical education and craft.
The
emphasis is on passive learning, which means that the children are
neither tested nor marked on information presented by the „native
speaker“.
